It tends to be as much softcore porn as horror, though Larraz still creates enough of a creepy atmosphere to make it interesting. With films like "Vampyres" and "Violation of the Bitch" he got his reputation and there is no doubt that "Black Candles" was going to follow the same pattern, but does that mean that it'll be good? Well recently I got to view "Black Candles" as part of a double feature on the DVD "Welcome to the Grindhouse" from Deimos Entertainment.
